When joining the Gold Membership, new members are required to pay a non‑refundable £25 joining fee (listed in Swimbooker as a “waiting list” fee) in addition to the standard annual membership cost.
During the annual renewal window, this joining fee does not apply as long as you held a valid membership in the previous year. However, if you do not renew by 31st July, the £25 joining fee becomes payable again should you wish to rejoin.
This system ensures fairness for existing members while keeping the joining process clear and consistent for new applicants.

Anyone signing up on a disabled membership must provide proof of disability badge to the club via email (BDAS-burydistrictanglingsociety@outlook.com) otherwise your membership will not be valid.
